Getting Started

OZZI is a comprehensive travel safety and protection platform designed to keep you secure wherever you go. We combine real-time risk intelligence, travel insurance options, emergency support, and a community of fellow travelers (Büddies) to provide complete peace of mind. Simply download the app, create your profile, and activate protection for your trips.

Download the OZZI app from the App Store or Google Play, then tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen. You can create an account using your email address or sign in with Google or Apple. Complete your profile with basic information, set your preferences, and you're ready to start planning safer travels.

OZZI offers a free tier that includes basic safety alerts, destination information, and access to our Büddies community. Premium features like comprehensive risk intelligence, insurance options, and 24/7 emergency support are available through our subscription plans. You can explore all features with a free trial before committing.

OZZI is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. We also offer a web dashboard where you can manage your account, view trip details, and access safety information from any browser. All your data syncs seamlessly across devices.

Safety & Alerts

Our risk intelligence system monitors global data sources 24/7, including government advisories, weather patterns, health alerts, civil unrest, and local incidents. We analyze this information in real-time and send you personalized alerts based on your travel plans and current location, helping you avoid risks before they impact your journey.

You'll receive alerts for severe weather, health emergencies (including disease outbreaks), political instability, natural disasters, travel disruptions, safety incidents in your area, and changes to travel advisories. You can customize which alerts you receive based on your preferences and risk tolerance.

Yes! Go to Settings > Notifications to customize your alert preferences. You can choose which categories to receive (weather, health, security, etc.), set alert severity thresholds, and decide how you want to be notified (push notifications, SMS, email). You maintain full control over your notification experience.

Our safety ratings combine data from trusted sources including government agencies, international organizations, local authorities, and verified traveler reports. We update ratings continuously based on current conditions. While we strive for accuracy, we recommend using ratings as guidance alongside official travel advisories and your personal judgment.

OZZI only accesses your location when you grant permission and only to provide location-specific safety alerts and emergency services. You control location sharing in your device settings and can turn it off anytime. We never share your location data with third parties without your explicit consent. Your privacy is our priority.

Insurance & Coverage

OZZI partners with leading insurance carriers to offer Medical Travel Insurance, Comprehensive Coverage (including trip cancellation and baggage protection), Cruise Coverage, and Inbound USA Medical coverage. Each plan is designed for specific travel needs with varying coverage limits and benefits. Visit our Insurance page for detailed comparisons.

Yes, you can purchase insurance anytime before your departure. However, for maximum benefits (including pre-existing condition coverage and cancel-for-any-reason options), we recommend purchasing within 14 days of your initial trip deposit. Insurance cannot be purchased after you've already departed.

To file a claim, contact your insurance carrier directly using the contact information in your policy documents. Each carrier has specific claims procedures. You'll need to gather relevant documentation (receipts, medical reports, police reports, etc.). OZZI can help connect you with your carrier, but claims are processed directly through them.

COVID-19 coverage varies by plan and carrier. Many of our plans include coverage for COVID-19 medical treatment and trip interruption. Please review your specific policy documents for details on COVID-19 coverage, limitations, and exclusions.

Medical Travel Insurance covers emergency medical expenses, evacuation, and repatriation. Comprehensive Coverage includes all medical benefits PLUS trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage loss/delay, travel delays, and other non-medical travel disruptions. Comprehensive is ideal for travelers who want complete protection.

Büddies & Community

Büddies are fellow OZZI travelers who can provide local knowledge, safety tips, and support in destinations around the world. It's a verified community where you can connect with others, share experiences, get recommendations, and even find travel companions. Think of it as your global network of trusted travelers.

Open the Büddies tab in the app and search by destination, interests, or travel dates. You can send connection requests to other travelers, join destination-specific groups, or participate in community discussions. All users are verified for safety, and you control who can contact you.

Yes. All Büddies accounts go through verification, and we have community guidelines and moderation to maintain a safe environment. You can report inappropriate behavior, block users, and control your privacy settings. We recommend following standard safety practices when meeting anyone from online platforms.

Absolutely! The Büddies feature is completely optional. You can use all of OZZI's safety features, insurance options, and emergency support without engaging with the community. It's there when you want it, but never required.

Account & Billing

Go to Settings > Subscription in the app or visit your account dashboard on the web. Choose the plan that fits your needs and complete the payment process. Your upgrade is instant, and you'll immediately gain access to all premium features. We offer monthly and annual billing options.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees. Go to Settings > Subscription > Manage and select "Cancel Subscription." You'll retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. After that, you'll automatically return to the free tier.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. For insurance purchases, payment methods may vary by carrier. All transactions are secured with industry-standard encryption.

Navigate to Settings > Billing in the app or your web dashboard. You can update your payment method, billing address, and view your payment history. Changes take effect immediately and will be used for your next billing cycle.

Subscription fees are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to avoid future charges. Insurance policies have their own refund policies set by the carrier—please review your specific policy documents. If you experience billing errors, contact our support team for assistance.
